Someone please help me to get MP4 working on my dedicated server. ^^
Rik helped me to rez it however it doesn't appear to work... Yes I have added the correct command line too.

[glow=red,2,300]If you could take screenshots of the rez file in question KT and email me them it would be helpfull  try that other thing I was on about with the customrez.txt command, it may well be the order that avp2 is processing them in:)[/glow] |

If anyone could suggest why I can't host a game successfully I'd appreciate it. Bak thought it might be because I am also on a LAN....

The main reason Rik has had to stop hosting games is because he's now on a LAN. As soon as he gets round the problem, I'll let you know and get him to help you through it. =) |

Yeah, my problem is that if I disable my lan, I also disable my internet connection as my modem is on the lan not on my PC  |

Hmmm... ok I must try hosting a game when my flatmates are out and I can disable my LAN without them complaining they can't surf the net!

Funny thing is that this is on a LAN and it works perfectly with hosting a server! Oh well. Ours is not to reason why. Ok trying to work out why that is (might solve all the LAN problems out there if we can work it out lol). 1. You're running the spawn protection mod aren't you? 2. You're running the enhanced server aren't you? 3. Are you running any other mods (not skins etc. but server mods)? 4. When you say you're on a LAN, is your modem attached to a particular PC in the LAN (such as the one you're running the server on) or is it on the LAN (maybe its a router modem)? 5. Can't think of any more questions can anyone else? |

I'm not actually running any mods, I don't have them.
The internet is directly connected to my PC via a USB cable, and then I am the host computer of a small LAN over the ethernet cables. I was hosting it directly rather than dedicated... can;'t think of any other relevant info.

I actually meant KT as hers is working but thinking about it, it does make sense to find out what people are using that doesn't work to...then we can play a game of spot the difference |
