So Ladies and Gents what great Wisdom has the big joke called life/experience taught you so far? Personally i'm at the stage where i've given up the drugs and cut down on the booze and can't remember a f**king thing.. And to think i had so many cool ideas and philosophy's that i've completely forgotten. Class. Irony is certainly not lost on me i can tell you. But this is the price you must pay if you had non-stop fun constantly for 4 or 5 years and then thought f**k it, i'll try something else. Like Sobriety. It seems that whatever you go through you try and give it meaning, and add your own personal touch so you can say you understand what the f**k is going on. But in reality i just do what i want and try and enjoy myself while i can. Its about the best you can hope for before you get stuck in the rat race of get a job, work, work, work, work, work, weekend off if your lucky, repeat...... "Life is suffering is too true"... good old buddha.... And throw in a bit of Friedrich Nietzsche for good measure......... Post away by the way as i've been drinking alot this evening .......

AHA!
A topic of great interest too me indeed. Ahh, life, as beautiful as the emerald eyes of the woman you love (or man) staring deeply back at you, yet, it is as painful as a cold steel blade being thrust into your very soul...
Life to me, is but a path we all enevitably travle alone on. Its destination? Ideally, self realisation, finding true peace of the soul. However, many deviate from such a worthwhile choice of final destination, prefering material items instead. But then, who can blame them.
For me personally, I have found my experiences a mix of embittering sadness, yet with some "Silver linings" present. I have found, life is too short and beuatiful to simply stand by and weep at our pains, I found we must stead fast and hold all we have dear.
I know people who suffer from depression and see life as pure pain from moment to moment, therefore I say what I said to them; pain passes, as does moments in life. Dont let the pain steal those moments of joy you seek. Become more. We are all born as people, weak, frail and arrogant, better yourself from this knowlegde, and find the truth to life.

Indeedy, good view to have mate. I've been through the depression and the doom and gloom, but theres too many cool things to see and do to waste it. The quest for learning never ends in my opinion, i'm gonna live as long as i can, hopefully to about 150 as i'm that stubborn.....

[glow=red,2,300]Make of this what you will!!!
Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Chose a family. Chose a f**king big television, chose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Chose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Chose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Chose a starter home. Chose your friends. Chose leisurewear and matching luggage. Chose a three-piece-suit on hire purchase in a range of f**king fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the f**k you are on a Sunday morning. Chose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit crushing game shows, stuffing f**king junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an emberassment to the selfish, f**ked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. [/glow]

Hm....interesting topic. "I've been through the depression and the doom and gloom, but theres too many cool things to see and do to waste it. " So very true. I think we all have been through a depression whether we realise and admit it or not. I have, people around me have, and sometimes its only eachother that keeps everyone from falling to peices and self inflicted death. Thats where philosophy is really born, when you start to talk in metaphors because there is something to say that is best left not fully understood. There is so much to life, and yet we all know what it will be in the end unless you make use of what you have in between. It all seems to finate sometimes.

In relation to deprression(forgive my spelling if it's crap) What would be the disadvantages of bottling things up?

[glow=red,2,300]Let me see, for a kickoff how about your brain feeling like its going to explode because you have that much going on it, with no release? Or the fact that not talking to someone, anyone, can lead you to being severly withdrawn, which in turn can lead you to wanting to take your own life? Not to mention the hurt and heartbreak and trauma caused to members of your family if it went so far that you did kill yourself?[/glow]
