I have recently got this search thing on my pc, i didnt install it, somehow, it just got there. It has a few names: license heart once and mysearch. Whenever i open a new internet window the search box is always there on the left and i have to close it. Sometimes my homepage just switches to myseach.com. Anyone know how to get rid of any of these? ive tried spybot and adware.

i had that cant remember what got rid of it but i think it maybe this:- When using internet explorer press tools then internet options then click on the advanced tab and uncheck ENABLE THIRD-PARTY BROWSER EXTENTIONS ( rtequires restart ) . try that m8

thanks mate. It gets rid of the lisence love whatever, but gets rid of all toolbars. I usually use the msn explorer. It doesnt get rid of the other two problems however.

Do not, I repeat, do not use msn explorer, it is crap, use ie instead if you must use a microsoft browser....and go get spybot search and destroy to get rid of any other spyware crap you may have.

[glow=red,2,300]Wisely said Ky spyware is the bain of the surfer's life, that's one of many progs that will kill it off, another option peeps is to install zone alarm as your main firewall, this includes a pop-up killer and ad blocker, try it you may like it  However a alternative that is slightly more secure than IE is firefox, it does not get attacked as often as IE with popups and is not generally hacked at as much you can try a FREE copy here, seeing as its opensource software unlike IE www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/[/glow] |
