Love in the sense of a relationship is nothing but eternal devotion. Never say you love someone unless you mean it. Which is why, no matter how close I get to any of the people I've been with, I never tell them that I love them, unless I truely mean it. In fact, I've only ever said it to one person I've been with in my life...
As in the sense of "platonic love" or in terms of "friendship" it's simply a form of endearment!

your so right KT...yet maybe its are uneasy to say we love that causes all the anx we feel...i have learnt to free my heart from such things as devotion...who knows who will seek love from u if u have it there to offer....show all u have love in your heart..it may just bring u that devotion we all want...P.S. i sometimes think "want" may be a stronger word than love...thoughts please

In that context I think that love can be a frail or strong word depending on the true feeling behind it, a thing said lightly by some and with great meaning and emotion by others. Its a flexable thing that molds to a person.

Though, thankfully I have to say I'm one of those that views the classification with the respect it deserves and don't simply hand it out to anyone.

As am I, even more so after having wasted the word before--which is why I say it is taken more lightly by some than others. For some it is a tool or plaything, for others a serious emotion. An interesting thought if I don't say so myself.

Love...
There's the love between a man and a woman (or two men or two women).
There's the love between friends or relatives.
And there's the love of something (I love riding and love walking in the spring rains).
- - - -
I've loved another person in the first sense - and for all the hurt that cost me in the end I wouldnt have missed it.
There are people 'online' that I have come to love in the second sense - Rik and KT being the two I have strong feelings for.
Love is grand, and powerful - It can move mountians.
Such a small word - such a big emotion.
Rik, KT.. love ya both.
~hugs~

[glow=red,2,300]And their's the special love between man and beast (Ouch gets slapped off Kt for bringing such a subject down to the gutter) But seriously it means many things to many people, just hope everyone gets to experience that special someone in their lives, there is far too much upset and hurt in the world today, Imagine all the people... A Thing of beauty is a joy for ever : Its loveliness increase ; it will never Pass into nothingness ; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
John Keats, Endymion.
