Ok... well, lets have a chat about something thats like marmite, you love it or you hate it. Religeon.
Now, I know alot of people follow it an stuff, so im going to be as tactful as I can. But hasnt it occured to people religeon isnt an answer to peoples lives, if anything its a problem?
Look at the world today. In one way or another almost everything is affected by religeon, wether its tolerance of a religeon or an actual byproduct of a religeon, like a religeous TV channel. Ok now remove religeon from the world for a moment, and look again. Look for something different.
Religeon has been a tool for over two millenia for a method of control for the masses. But remove religeon. Now look at what couldve been avoided HAD religeon not existed. The crusades, the inquisition, the small minded bigotry of the ideas regarding a need to fight and kill for it. Countless wars, countless mistakes made by humanity couldve been avoided. Think about it.
I appreciatte religeon is not only a tool for war but for hope as well, but isnt that just making us weaker as it is? If we are forced to care for a fellow human being out of the need for a simple book dosent that say something about us? It proves were weak minded, we follow teachings that we could learn by our own experiences. I care about everyone in my life, and each time I see some new atrocity on the evening news, wether it be a soldier dying in Iraq or a terrorist attack killing thousands, I am still moved by the plight. Not by religeon, not by some idea of a god but by my own realisation.
Humanity has been in this yolk of religeon for so long now, hasnt it come to everyones attention the damage religeon has done? The hope its supposed to give isnt that of some divine being or a act of god, its an act of man. Its an act of that person. To be driven by an ideal you cant prove, you cant even grasp fully is fickle in my eyes. People should open their eyes and see, look around, look at the acts of goodness and the acts of cruelty you see, and remove religeon from it. It will open your eyes. It really will. Hell religeon would call these words heresy or the words of the devil, you know that right? If I am labelled so, then so be it in truth. I am not driven by anything over than truth, pure and simple. No one has placed what I said upon me, I was given the concept of a life without god, and instead a life following my own mind and it made me realise. It made me realise the shroud religeon has placed.
These concepts are my own, so please, share your ideals.
