[glow=green,2,300] i cant install Doom 3 my CPU its just 1.400 and my video card is just of 32 mbs and the game need a CPU over 1.500 and a video card oever 66 mbs .... cant belive my brother is playing the game right now and i cant thx by this crap pc [/glow]

Got it from a bit torrent.
Think it was on supernova but i can't remember.
I've got the torrent saved anyway, you just need to have a program that can download bit torrents.
Got that too if anyone wants it.
It is 1.5 gig worth, 3 cds.
So might take a while for some.

Maybe its just because I only recently played Half-Life for the first time but does anyone else think Doom3 is just too similar story wise?

I hear what you're saying and in retrospect, I possibley should have said Half-Life is like the original Doom but that probably wouldn't have been so true.

I have to disagree with you about it being just "touches" though. If you look at the 2 story lines and (maybe more importantly) how the plot is revealed, you would see almost exactly the same game. Like I said, I played Half-Life for the first time about 1 month ago and now I'm playing Doom, I really feel like I'm playing the same game again (although with far supirior graphics, sound and jumpy bits). The biggest "for instance" without stating the obvious mutants, baddie humans, and the like is the bits where you see "bad guys" moving around in a place you can't quite get to...just like in Half-life.

I'm not saying Doom is terrible for it....as remakes go, it has to be probably the best ever I'm just slightly dissapointed that the plot is SO similar to 1 other game.

Oh and just to keep this chat in context with the forum as a whole....I think stole the scarey bursting steam pipes from AVP2 single player
