[glow=red,2,300]No I am sorry to say it wont ever end, While my thoughts are with those hurt, injured or killed, we have had many warnings in the past about just this kind of thing happening, it wasnt a case of is it going to happen, but when... Thank you Mr Blair & Dumbass, war on terror??? Reap what you sow...[/glow]

I wouldnt put it past him, perhaps he was thinking about his next pretzel... But onto the subject at hand, can we expect more raids by the police? More anti Muslim hatred? I would just like to say that the individuals who perpetrated this crime are not follower's of Islam, I know quite a few people who do believe in the Koran etc, and they wholeheartedly disown these "people" if you can call murdering, cowardly scum people... Are we to live in fear now this has happened? somehow I think not, Hitler didnt kill off London, the IRA didnt, and these W****** certainly wont!!!
P.s Sam I modifed your orig post to include the 7/7 bit:)

yeah i saw buzz ty well as you said it will take more than that to kill it off but i cant help thinking this may be just the tip of the iceberg and theres much more to come. and i must say i think if it wasnt for the fact that the emergency services did such a bloody good job the stats would have been much higher than 45 dead 700 injured which is what im told it stands at now hats off to them

Interesting that you thank Mr. Blair for the 7/7. I saw an interview with the Tory leader just before the election and something he said seemed to be skiped over by the media. He was calling Blair all the names under the sun for the war on Iraq but when asked out right if he'd have sent troops into Iraq he said yes.
Iraq was the right and moral thing to do although perhaps the reasons we were given were wrong. And before you say things like "well why don't we do it in other countries" or "they only did it for the oil," the troops weren't fighting for those reasons and my backing for the action wasn't. Yes, it should happen in other countries and doesn't for all sorts of reasons - some right, some wrong but 1 less dictatorship like that in the world is a step in the right direction in my opinion. Personally, I'd have gone in sooner (like at the point Sadam gassed his own people and broke the cease fire agreement).
Ler's put it this way Buzz, would you rather be French?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a supporter of Blair or any other politition for that matter but I don't dislike him for those reasons or blame him for the events of 7/7. Fairly recently there was a court case near me. A man had taken a shotgun out in a pub and started shooting at some guy. He was arrested and on the day of his trial, most of the witnesses' cars were fire bombed by members of his family. Should we blame the police officer that arrested him for the damage to their cars? No, I don't think so.
Yes we could bury our heads in the sand and ignore world injustices and evil. Yes we could turn on each other and blame each other and our government for the misguided and just plain evil people in the world. But then what would that say? You're free to roam the planet and cause as much death and destruction as you want. I don't want to bring my kids up in a world where terror rules or where corrupt governments are just allowed to kill mame and injury their own people without someone standing up and shouting STOP - do you?
As with everyone else, my heart goes out to all those effected by the events of yesterday. Having worked in London for a few months, I know exactly what its like on those tubes during rush hour normally and all I can say is that it must have been horrific.

[glow=red,2,300]Tbh Rik your post is justified, but it does go over some of the ground we discussed before, remember the terrorist thread? and as regards Mr howard, well... the less said the better imo, but I will say this, yes perhaps it was right invading Iraq, but as you said, not in the way we were informed. You know yourself I wasnt for the war, but I do believe that the outcome that Iraq is now more or less free to be a positive thing, however again going back to the terrorist thread, Terror Begets Terror! Oh and also someone care to tell me just who armed most of these terrorists btw? The misinformed are just cannonfodder for the likes of these murdering bastards! As to the case near you, anybody else read my WTF post in this section? you can plainly see my view of the criminial justice system there...[/glow]

Also, things like this distort alot of peoples opinion sadly. Some people will not understand fully and even be racist and treat anyone of certain coloured skin differently now
Also thoughts go out to everyone involved, as well as to the emergency services for doing such a great job.

Another three bombs found....One on a bus, another in a place called Shepards Bush....(I forget the details).
However, i think they were all dud....I'm not so sure....anyone else have any other real info.....
It just makes me sick to think that some people are refused jobs in this country because companies have to fill out a quota stating it has ethnic minorities working 4 them when we are having chunks blown out of us.
I'm not against people coming into this country but it seems to me that we are being taken for mugs. Not only are we having to accomodate for ethnic minorities at our own expense but we are being attacked as well!!
ah well thats just wot i think neway...

Someone doesn't understand the equal opportunities legislation.
Someone also missed the fact that certainly the people who did the first bombings were British.
Someone needs to stop listenning to BNP propoganda and start listenning to the news and forming their own opinions.

[glow=blue,2,300]Nicely said rik and with a lot more tact than I would have. Blue I thought being born in britain would mean there british? Or do you mean that the fact there of asian origin that makes them less british than others?[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Blue perhaps you meant that followers of Islam put their faith first, the country they live in 2nd? This is how a lot of young muslims get ensnared into terrorism, aka THEY have attacked Islam... Or is it the fact that as Ice has said they have family of non british descent? be it only 1 / 2 generation... Come to think of it how many of you can truly say your British? And indeed how long does a familiy have to live here to be regarded as British? or does it boil down to the colour of a persons skin yet again...[/glow]
